CecilCAN is a grassroots effort to ensure Cecil County is developed in a fair, equitable, and sustainable way that benefits our community and preserves our way of life. We want to work with developers to ensure all future projects have input from the communities they impact.

In order to fight irresponsible development effectively, we need legal representation and to create a large presence in Cecil County.

Cecil County is filled with rich farmlands, lush woods, and diverse shorelines and wetlands, but most importantly Cecil County is our home. We have raised families, started businesses, made friends, and established our lives right here in this little slice of heaven.

All of that is at risk if the rampant development projects are left unchecked.

CecilCAN understands that development is inevitable and often good for the economy; however, we believe that our community should have a say in the development of our home.

Let's work together to protect Cecil County's future.

Request a Sign

A limited number of yard signs are available, and donations are welcome to expand their reach.

If you would like to donate to the fund or request a yard sign, please send an email to cecilcountycan@gmail.com.

Sign the Petition

Citizens of Cecil County concerned with responsible development are voicing their concerns about the proposed Chesapeake Club/Fairway Village development through our Change.org petition.

While we understand that growth is inevitable, the signers of this petition believe that the proposed concept plat, as is, will negatively impact our community. We urge our government officials to please consider the points before approving such a project such as traffic, infrastructure, storm water management, and home values.
